This note was printed in Boston by the Forbes Lithograph Manufacturing Company on behalf of the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing. It was issued to troops entering France in order to supplement the local French currency.  Allied Military Currency remained in circulation until financial affairs returned to normal and local currency supplies stabilized.
