The front of the card, printed in French, reads: \u201cFor his soul pleased the Lord:  therefore hasted he to take him away from among the wicked.\u201d (Song of Solomon, 4:14) On the back of the card, a message is written in German as if composed by the deceased, urging family members to remain sinless and devout.
