Hertz. Cpl. Robert J. \u201cBob\u201d Hertz was a good friend of Vernon\u2019s in the Army. He served with Goetz in B Battery, 549th Anti\u2010Aircraft Artillery, 87th Division. He lived in South Carolina with his wife and<br \/>\nthey kept in contact with Goetz and his wife, Mary, for many years.     Interview with Mary<br \/>\nGoetz, April 14, 2014.<br \/>\nGoetz received this card from Hertz after the war.
