At Goucher, Jefferies studied history. Through the Goucher four-plus-one program, he graduated with a Masters degree in education. Additionally, during his time at Goucher, Justin Jefferies participated in the campuswide game of humans versus zombies and was an athlete on the Goucher swim club. Following his graduation, Jefferies taught in Japan before returning to Maryland.
