Denise Pittman Glass graduated from Eastern High School (located in Baltimore, MD) in 1976. She received her BA in Mathematics from Goucher College in 1980. She went on to receive her MS in Computer Science from Florida Institute of Technology (located in Melbourne, Florida) in 1989. She worked for the Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) from January 1990 until May 2025. Prior to, she worked for the Department of the Navy, Naval Electronic Systems Engineering Activity from May 1981 until January 1990. She retired a Senior Leader with full oversight for establishing and implementing strategic visions, organizational initiatives, budgets, and risk-based metrics for up to $2.5 billion air traffic control facilities and system-based aircraft carrier programs/projects. She was a FAA Senior Leadership Development Program Graduate in March 2024. She retired from the Federal Government after 44 years.
Pittman Glass is very active in her community. She is Deaconess at the Body of Christ Church. She was a member of the Jewell Robinson Dinner Committee. She was selected to the Alumnae & Alumni of Goucher College (AAGC) Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as the Annual Giving Officer. She visited and financially supported students of the Goucher Prison Education Partnership (GPEP) as they work towards their BAs in prison.
